Getting there
By Airplane

Air New Zealand, Jet Star and Qantas operate daily flights to Queenstown from Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch. Charter flights may be organised and Matakauri Lodge will meet your flight upon request.

By Car

Twenty minutes from Queenstown Airport and just seven minutes from downtown Queenstown, Matakauri Lodge is superbly located on Lake Wakatipu.

Queenstown Airport – Matakauri Lodge (approx 9 km)

Turn right at the roundabout as you leave the airport, then right again at the next ‘T’ intersection. You are now travelling on Kawarau Road.

After 1km turn left at the next roundabout onto Frankton Road, to head into Queenstown.

Continue along Frankton Road towards Queenstown (10 minutes).

You will enter Queenstown on Stanley Street. Drive straight on through the first roundabout at the bottom of the hill and turn left at the second roundabout onto Shotover Street.

Drive through Queenstown on Shotover Street. The lake will remain on your left hand side as you pass through town. You will then reach a roundabout adjacent to the Lake. Take the first exit off the roundabout following the signpost to Glenorchy along the Lake Esplanade.

You are now on Queenstown Glenorchy Road. Continue along this road for another 6 kilometres passing Moke Lake turnoff to your right and 7 mile Recreation Reserve Parking on your left.

Just after the road bends away from the lake, the Farrycroft Row sign will appear on the left side of the road – please turn here and follow the signs to reception until you reach the main lodge.
